Does my workplace need Ergonomics?

Ergonomics is the practice of fitting a person into their surroundings. From a physiotherapists perspective, it usually entails making sure a worker is as comfortable and safe as they can be in their workspace.

Optisports Ergonomics provides ergonomic assessments to the Sydney CBD and Barangaroo area. Our experienced physiotherapists offer on site visits for an assessment of a worker and/or workers at their work station. We assess a number of factors, but most commonly we are looking at a workers posture and desk set up to optimise their comfort and productivity whilst in the office.

Not sure if you need this service? Many businesses we work with have never had help from a physiotherapist but it can be hugely beneficial! As an employer, you have a duty to keep your workers safe, and this is even more imperative as people are choosing or being directed back into the physical workplace.

A large portion of people we see for assessments are those managing existing injuries in the workplace however, every worker should be offered an assessment, before any discomfort or injuries arise. This is how we can reduce costs of workplace injuries in the long term. We offer a bespoke service depending on your needs, ranging from one on one assessments with an employee who might have a recent or chronic injury, including a detailed report, right down to roaming assessments where we can offer more casual advice and quick set up tips and tricks to individuals within bigger teams.
